The tour is guided by one of our amazing passionate guides live for an engaging experience.
Come along on an escape from the city stress and enjoy the harmonious scenery around Djurgården. We start our tour entering through the Royal Canal, around the green island of Djurgården and finish with the archipelago atmosphere at Fjäderholmarna.
Our cafeteria/Bar offers a small but carefully selected range of wraps, sandwiches, snacks and of course "Swedish Fika" - local pastries and coffee. Drinks goes from mineral water, juice and smoothies to wine, beer and Champagne.
Ecosightseeing takes the threat from the covid-19 virus very seriously and we do our utmost to prevent it from spreading further. We take fewer guests on board than usual. We wipe and disinfect exposed surfaces after each turn. We stay at home when we have the slightest symptoms of illness.
As a guest on board with us, we take it for granted that you also
follow the Public Health Agency's recommendations and:
Only go with us if you are completely healthy.
Be careful with hand hygiene
Keep your distance when talking to the crew or other guests.
Coughing and sneezing in the armpit.
We follow the authorities' recommendations continuously and adapt our routines accordingly. Together we show respect and care for each other.
A warm welcome on board!
You can choose to start the tour either from the Jetty just in front of the Royal Castle OR from our second starting point Nybroviken in central Stockholm.
The full guided tour starts from Nybroviken, if you embark at the jetty in front of the Royal Castle you will have a warm welcome and a short introduction as we head into Nybroviken in the city centre where we pick up more guests. When everyone is seated and had their time to order refreshments from the bar the tour starts.
After turning around in the narrow Nybroviken with its quite lively boat traffic (this is the starting point for most of the sightseeing boat tours of Stockholm but also for the commuter ferries along with the high speed vessels for the outer archipelago) we head for the calm and greenery sceneries of the Royal Canal. On our way to the first bridge we pass by some of Stockholms most exclusive addresses at Strandvägen, the beautiful boulevard constructed in the late 19th century. Along the quay the old ships are tightly moored. Today, several of them have been converted into houseboats. A new and hip accommodation in Stockholm. When we have passed under the first bridge, the view changes. Now we come to the narrow and winding canal that was dug by hand between the years 1832-1834. It is truly a wonderful experience to slowly, almost silently, experience this waterway surrounded by centuries-old park landscape. The surroundings - Djurgården has been Royal land since the 15th century and still is. When we leave the Royal Canal at the eastern end the scenery changes again, we have now entered Stockholm's inner archipelago. We take you to the first real archipelago islands Fjäderholmarna. We pass close by so that you can get a good picture of its characteristics, the cultural buildings, the nature of the small islands and also experience the special bird life. After rounding Fjäderholmarna, we take the main fairway back. We come to meet Stockholm the same way as sailors have done for hundreds of years. There is no doubt that this is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and it should definitely be experienced from the seaside!
Due to the Covid 19 situation changes can be made in a short time. As we plan for the season right now (mid January) we will start our traffic in the beginning of May with 2 tours per day weekends (Saturday and Sundays). Everyday traffic from mid June until end of sept and then weekend traffic rest of the year. To see our scheduled and bookable tours just click the Buy Tickets button down in the left corner.
